A legal challenge over trans access to Hampstead ponds cannot proceed, the High Court has ruled.

The City of London Corporation's current policy is that trans men and trans women are entitled to use the pond of their choice.

Campaign group Sex Matters filed for a judicial review over this, arguing it was unlawful based on the April 2025 Supreme Court ruling that a woman is defined by biological sex under the 2010 Equality Act.
