INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- Rams wide receiver Davante Adams did not return to Sunday's playoff-clinching 41-34 win over the Lions after suffering a noncontact hamstring injury, and his status for Thursday's showdown against the Seahawks is in doubt.

Adams suffered the injury while running a route. He fell to the ground during the play and stayed down for some time. The wide receiver eventually walked off the field under his own power and headed to the Rams locker room.

McVay said Adams was "optimistic" about the injury.

"So we'll see what that means," McVay said. "I can't imagine that's good for Thursday with just the short amount of time, but I certainly wouldn't rule him out quite yet. But it didn't look good."

Quarterback Matthew Stafford said if Adams is not available on Thursday, the Rams will be missing "a huge part of our offense."

"And so that'll be a tough one," Stafford said. "I don't know the extent of it. Didn't look like it was a good one, so I feel so tough for him.

"He's been a warrior for us all year, really, to be honest with you. Playing out there for us. So we'll see. I got a lot of faith and trust in the other guys that we have in our locker room and our coaching staff to put us in a great position to go out there, let our play do the talking and just go play."

Fellow star wide receiver Puka Nacua also briefly left the game with what was later announced as cramps. He was listed as questionable to return but eventually made his way back to the field.

Adams had four catches for 71 yards in the game before his injury.
